Interactive Dementia Awareness Experience coming to Marlow on Thursday 04 November

Interactive Dementia Awareness Experience – Marlow Fire Station, Thursday 4th November – in partnership with our local SW Chilterns Community Board

  • The South West Chilterns Community Board has partnered with Making Marlow Dementia Friendly and Training2Care to provide an interactive dementia awareness experience.
  • The experience is suitable for anyone who cares for or may regularly come into contact with people with dementia. That could include family or carers of people with dementia, nursing staff, emergency services, retail workers, community volunteers or anyone else who regularly works in our local communities.
  • Attending the experience offers people with a healthy brain the opportunity to experience what life is like for a person with dementia, through an interactive session held in the Virtual Dementia Tour mobile unit. This is followed by a fully detailed debrief which will include discussion of the experience and learning points that attendees can take away so that they can more confidently support people with dementia that they come into contact with.
  • There are four sessions being held throughout the day on 4th November at Marlow Fire Station:

    9.30-11.30 / 10.30-12.30 / 13.30-15.30 / 14.30-16.30

  • You can find more details and book a place via our Eventbrite page at:

Further information is also available at: Training2Care - Virtual Dementia Tour.
  • TO BOOK: Places are limited so please book as soon as you can.  If you find that the session you would like to attend has already been fully booked, please contact and we will add your name to the reserve list.
  • The experience is also running in two other locations across South Bucks on the 3rd and 5th November, so we may be able to offer you a place at either of those locations, subject to availability. If you book a place and find that you are unable to attend, please do let us know so that we can allocate it to someone else.
