MBRC Members Meeting – 22 June

We held a varied meeting, with most of our members attending,  looking at several key development areas for MBRC as we go forward with the road map for the club.

  • Shared updates on our various club projects, as part of the Community Support Hub for Marlow we are building.  A presentation on an exciting new project to be started shortly and looking at two new approaches this week.
  • Reviewed the event plan  for the Marlow May Fayre.  As the fayre was unfortunately but understandably cancelled, we are ‘rolling over' all arrangements, mainly to the Marlow Carnival on 11 Sept.
  • An overview from incoming President, Annie Roy-Barker on her President's Year, starting 1st July, including one of the new opportunities for MBRC is to host a Rotary Scholar from The United States - starting at Oxford University in September.
  • Presentation on various aspects of Rotary Membership.  The first of some update sessions to enable us all to get the best out of Rotary, mainly locally as MBRC and to review the wider opportunities in Rotary.
